The Lincoln County Port Authority partners with and provides oversight to the Kootenai River Development Council (KRDC), a local non-profit economic development organization. KRDC’s mission is to promote community and economic development in South Lincoln County by facilitating infrastructure improvements and enhancing the county’s desirability as a place to live and work.
Since its creation, the Port Authority has supported job creation, entrepreneurial growth, and workforce development by creating opportunities for investment in key infrastructure such as the Kootenai Business Park and rail access improvements. We continue to identify and support projects that bring lasting economic benefits to the community.
